History

footerJoy Of India Started in Chinatown in 2012 and enjoys a remarkable reputation for exceptional Indian food. After running successfully in Chinatown we opened our second outlet at Food Court in City Cross Arcade. Our newest venture is our first fully licensed Indian Restaurant and Bar at Brickworks Marketplace. All the Joy of India outlets are managed and supervised by the very talented and skilled Chef Sam. Chef Sam, originally from India is in restaurants and food business since 2002. His team is comprised of professional cooks from India and offers authentic Indian Cuisine made from fresh, whole-some ingredients and traditional Indian herbs. Each of our dishes has its special sauces and seasonings made on the premises. Head chef Sam serves up Indian cuisine, experimenting with Indian Herbs, spices and sauces. His sole goal is to give you an enjoyable dining experience. The best way of getting to know the menu is to order a mixed selection of starters  (samosas), curries ( vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian) and not to forget the freshly baked Naan Breads. Elegant  furniture, restrained lighting, an open kitchen and  interiors with Indian art emphasise the elegance of the restaurant

In true Indian tradition, we rely on fresh ingredients and authentic Indian spices and herbs. Our versatile menu, unique wine list, stunning location and great staff will make your next experience a memorable one. Joy of India offers a distinct selection of dishes for snacking, brunch, lunch and dinner. Our curries are made in-house daily, and we offer fresh Naan breads made to order each evening. If you are sensitive to gluten, no need to worry, our Executive Chef, Sam has worked hard to ensure that we offer our snacks, curries and Naan breads gluten-free. Our restaurant is inspired by Indian values, passion and generosity.
